With over 30 years of serving satisfied customers and smiling bikers, Ocean Cycles in Bethany Beach and Lewes Cycle Sports in historic Lewes are proven year-round biking experiences geared to the needs of riders at all levels.

In the Beacon Motel just over the drawbridge in Lewes, Lewes Cycle Sports offers riders a great selection of rental bikes for family fun. Scenic rides can be taken through historic Lewes, along the mellow bayfront array of cottages, and into nearby Cape Henlopen's tall dunes and treelined paths.

In the Bethany Beach area (see column to right), we now offer repairs, rentals or bicycle sales from our Mobile service.

For those who enjoy convenience, our shops offer free delivery of bikes for a three-day minimum rental.

Our service and repair department take pride in being the cornerstone of our customer satisfaction base.

Owner and founder Ed Lynch, having deep roots in the beaches of Delaware, credits his father with teaching him the values of an honest and honorable work ethic. Educated in business at American University, Ed also taught English before devoting his energies to Ocean Cycles and his true love of being on the beaches.

Ocean's Glen Shaffer, lead mechanic and manager of Lewes Cycle Sports, has been in the cycling business longer than he wishes to tell you. Arguably the most knowledgeable bike "master" in the area, Glen insists on perfection in his work, oversees the building of new bikes and takes pride in the integrity of every repair and tune up.

A selction of solid bike brands, including Raleigh America, Jamis, Hampton Cruisers, Diamondback, Haro, Caloi, and Specialized offer a line of bikes to meet the needs of any rider.

Our new Bethany Beach location for Ocean Cycles is now open. You can find us in the Hickman Beach Plaza on Coastal Highway between Bethany and South Bethany. We're directly adjacent to the oceanfront Sea Colony high-rises.
